The 7th Pay Commission was implemented on January 1, 2016, benefiting over 1 crore people across the country. Typically, pay commissions are formed every 10 years, and it is expected that the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented from January 1, 2026. The new pay commission is likely to bring significant changes in the minimum salary and pension rates, which will be advantageous for employees.
